Following the Birmingham pub bombings, the Irish population of the
city suffered a major backlash. Many Irish people even contemplated
fleeing the country fearing the repercussions. With Anti-Irish
feelings running high, families of Irish decent were threatened and
Irish businesses were attacked. Here are some real accounts of people
who recall those times of trouble.
